Hi
I'm thinking of visiting TDR either this year or early next year.
Bearing in mind the weather (I like bright, sunny weather), the crowds and ride closures, what would be the best time of year to visit Tokyo Disney?
Looking forward to your suggestions!
thanks :)

I live in Tokyo. Stear CLEAR of summertime!!! It's so hot and humid around here. School gets out around March 18th and starts again April 1st so you want to stay away during those times too because all kids out out of school. (Japanese school year starts the first week of April.) Golden week is the first week of May so that's another big steer clear time because it's when every Japanese person and their brother will be there.
It is hottest in August and September here, but July can get up there as well. May~June is rainy season and September~October is typhoon season. It never really gets super cold around here so it's open all year round. Summer vacation is from the middle of July until September 1st so all kids are out of school.
When is the BEST time to go? If you're looking for guaranteed sunshine then the summer is the way to go, but that's when it will also be the most crowded and very very humid as well. Temperature wise, I would say early spring (April/May) or later in the fall (Oct/Nov) because the temperature is mild, kids are all in school, and there's no major holidays (except golden week that I mentioned 1st week in may).
Even in the rain, the majority of rides still go because they are indoors. Next time we go we're going to go in the rain because the crowds are so much less and we can ride more rides. Just don your poncho and get in there :p .

I love Tokyo in November! The weather is usually nice during the day, but can be very chilly at night, so bring a light coat. The last time I was there in November, the Parks already had holiday decorations up. And they were absolutely beautiful.
I'd avoid the summer months. It can be very hot and humid during June/July/August.

I have a question along a similar theme. However, I get the amazing chance to visit Tokyo around December 20-January 1. How is it at the parks weather-wise and crowd-wise? Thanks! :)
