Steve Jobs was named the SF Chronicle's CEO of the year. Love him or not, it's hard to deny his accomplishments, and easy to see why Stan Gold would like him to head up the WDC: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2004/05/03/BUC200CEO.DTL

I'm not of the opinion that because a particular person is a good CEO for a particular company, that would make him or her a good CEO for a different company.

Man they should have CEO of the Year Pageant where top CEOs compete for fabulous prizes and the chance to be crowned. We could have like a talent competition and a budget balancing competition.

Wonder where Michael Eisner would place? Probably not Mr. Congieniality.

I'm sure Mr. Eisner would be a shoe-in for Mr. OCD:rolleyes:

Just to point out for clarity that Jobs is not their top CEO among all CEOs (though he might be that as well), but rather their top CEO among San Francisco Bay Area CEOs).
