Does anybody know of a good way to get from DL to Universal and back 3 days later, besides renting a car? If so, how much?

Thanks,
John

You could contact SuperShuttle; that's who we usually take going to and from the airport. Their number (for out of area folks) is 1-800-Blue Van (258-3826). They also have online reservations at Supershuttle.com . There are also plenty of taxi/shuttle services in the area.

Edited to add: Okay, ignore this...I thought you meant the West Coast, obviously...:p

The Airport Bus company also run a service from Anaheim to Universal (we used them a few years back, and we always use them to get to and from LAX). Their website is here. (http://www.airportbus.com/apb7b_001.htm)

Right out in front of the Main Entrance to Disneyland on Harbor Blvd is the 460 MTA bus from Disneyland to Downtown LA. Get off at the 7th and Figeroa stop and go down to the Red Line Subway and take that directly to Universal Station. Go up and across the street to catch the shuttle up to the studio and hotels. Cost is $3.00 per day for any and all bus, trains and subway lines operated by the MTA. Cheaper than private lines. If you are carrying lugage from Disneyland to Universal that could be the only problem I see. The compete trip takes about 2 - 3 hours each way, but you don't have to worry about Parking costs, gas costs or crazy drivers on the freeways. The bus and subway take you right where you want to go. I use them all the time to get from the Valley to Disneyland and back again.
