Bill Catherall-

Packing a car...There's another intuitive activity. I can tell if something is going to fit just by looking at it. But for some reason I just can't efficiently load the dishwasher...hmmmm.

LOL

Yes, my husband is FANTASTIC at packing for our trips. We have taken two week road trips and somehow he manages it all. And, when we stop, he can pull out what ever it is we need. I just try to keep what I need most urgently in a canvas bag at my feet. And, with two bikes mounted on the back of the van!

I am amazed that he doesn't blow the proverbial 'fuse' during these times. But then again, just don't touch his Thomas Bros.!
Once when he was putting in gas, someone dropped the sweat from a soda on to the page! We all froze! I told them, Remain calm, I'll just dab the water away and then flip it over. Whew! He got in and we all were like, Ah, ready? He looked at us like he knew we were up to something, but, couldn't figure it out.

I used to swear by Thomas Guides! I'd still be using them if this town weren't so easy to get around. (And if I wasn't so used to using Yahoo Maps)

Yes, I now use MapQuest to get me to places around town that I am unsure of. It is so cool. The city I live in is big and has everything but sometimes I have to go to other cities and I am not too familiar.

The Thomas Bros. that I we carry around on road trips is the California Edition. It has everything, pretty much. As I sit and plan our trips, I use both. I am not computer savvy and I need to rely on books and maps a lot.

Someday I will figure it all out. Then there will probably be something better.......

I don't entirely trust Yahoo Maps. Usually they can get you where you're going, but sometimes I've gotten some strange directions. I always double check Yahoo with Thomas Guide, actually. If I can't, I ask someone who knows where I'm going if the Yahoo directions sound right.

That is so true! I needed directions to another part of town, the address looked unfamiliar. Well, MapQuest had me so confuesd. Finally, I took what I knew from MapQuest over to the Thomas Bros. and it was so easy! From massive directions to simple steps.

I was freaking out with their directions.

Nice to know it isn't just me that can happen to. I thought
it was. : )

This seems like something of an idle threat not to be taken seriously.

If you would like the same result, just walk up to the father of the family and state calmly "please beat me until I'm unconscious" you will get the same result as your plan and you probably won't hurt your toe.
