woo hoo! we are doing the 4 night bahamian in november! thanks to www.mousesavers.com (http://www.mousesavers.com) i got a super rate ($459/person). a few questions: the rate doesn't include taxes or port fees, does anyone know how much those are? also, are the annual passholder special rates only for WDW AP's, or does disneyland count too? i can't wait!!

Wow, that's a great price. We'll be preceding you on our 7-day trip in October. I don't know about port fees, but Shoshana Lewin might. Let's see if she'll pop in here. :)

Pop!

Hi tracilicious! I couldn't find exactly what the fees are -- I think so that they can change them when they feel like it.
If you want to PM me with the date you are going, the kind of stateroom and number of people, I might be able to figure it out :)

I can check my tickets when I get home and see what the port fees were from my last cruise -- it might be slightly different, but it will give you some idea.

we're going november 14-18th. in one room it will be myself, my husband and our baby, and in the other it will be two friends of ours. i believe we are staying in a class 11 stateroom. i'm not sure. we are still waiting for the people from small world vacations to get back to us so we can actually book the cruise. even if anyone has a general idea of how much port fees are then that would help. like will we be paying $20, or $200?

also with tipping, do you tip at the end of the cruise? and i know sometimes drinks aren't included, does anyone know what drinks are and aren't? i can't wait!

Hey Tracilious,

What fun! I've been kicking the idea of a cruise around so I've been checking mousesavers too. I read something just yesterday that coffee, tea, juice and milk are included. And soft drinks are included during a meal. The article is on mousesavers under the "cruise" section where Mary links an article at the top of the page.

Well I entered your info in the DCL reservation quote site and it came out at $1,585.55 for everything including taxes and port fees.
I believe fees and taxes is more than $100 but not as much as $200.

Tips are not included, but you can go to the guest relations desk (you'll see it when you get there) during your cruise and they can put the tips on your charge. They will give you envelopes and a sheet with the tips on it that you can tear apart. They will do it at the "suggested rate" if you want to give more, you can put cash in there as well.

As for drinks -- when you are at dinner, everything is included except liquor and specialty drinks. At lunch and breakfast you can get coffee, tea, water, juice, milk and lemonade (unless you eat in the dining room -- then you get more). The tip is put on if you order at the pool or in any of the bars or lounges, so you just need to sign your name.

thanks shana. i got my itemized quote from the travel agent. here it is, so that all may have this valuable information:

Your room
$459 cruise rate per person x 2 = $918.00
$99 Port charges rate for Indiana
$32.85 per person government taxes and fees x 2 = $65.70
$17.85 government taxes and fees for Indiana
Grand Total $1100.55

the taxes weren't bad at all. a pretty good deal, i think. does anyone know how much the open air massage is at castaway kay? that looks soooo great!

It is so great :) It was the most relaxing thing I could imagine. The cabanas are right next to the adult beach (so give yourself enough time to get there. Also don't book first thing in the morning (if you are late it cuts into your time). First thing you do when you get on to the ship is head to the spa -- do not pass go, do not collect $200. They sometimes have a seperate table set up at the entrance for CC treatments. It's more than $100 plus tp -- but soooo worth it!

we're going november 14-18th.

We are going that same trip!
We got a price of $477 (which includes a $35 pin package) each
and that INCLUDES taxes and port fees! (this is a special rate
just for THAT cruise!)

Try AllSeasonsTravel.com and ask for Sandie!
(if you aren't into pins, just tell her to leave that out
and if she asks how you found her, just tell her a friend of
a friend of Larry - she'll know who you mean!)

We are booked in room 6521 Cat 11.

Maybe we'll see you there!

p.s. open air massages at CCay are $100 a person for 60 minutes
hint: don't book the first massage of the day, getting off the ship
is chaotic and you won't make your time!
OR try the couples massage with the romance at sea package
which yields you more than just your massage for $299
you can do this as a couple or one person can get both treatments!
see the disney cruise website or ask your travel agent!
