I get all the tough assignments, huh. Next up, The wide world of Churros! Up for the Challange, Jeannie? ;) :geek:

You have to ask?! ;)

That was a fun article on candy, Lisa. I didn't realize I hadn't been to all of them! I'd better redouble my efforts!

I'd like to add my thanks to LisaP for this article. I really enjoyed it (and was envious of all the "research" that must have gone into it:D ). I'm looking forward to checking out many of the stores myself at the end of the year...:)

Thanks. :)

I know most of the info is old hat to die hard APers, but even I didn't realize which were exclusive candies and what sugar-free treats were available. I don't normally head for the sugar free stuff (shocking, I know), but my mom is diabetic; I was glad to find that the CMs were very helpful in providing ingredient lists and information.

If you've never tried it, I highly recommend the English toffee. It's the best "in-house" candy, in my opinion. It was interesting to learn that the taffy is no longer a DL exclusive. Must be a bummer for those taffy fans. Now they just need a webcam so we can stare at them making candy all day... sweet, sweet candy...

I'll second the English Toffee and add the Rocky Road. I'd semi-addicted to both and consider that the REAL reason I go to DL. Sorry people, it's not about you.;)

I remember first reading about the Taffy change in this thread. (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?t=21174&highlight=taffy) There's an adress further on the post to send complaints. It sounds like Disney didn't get a response to warrant a change back to the old ways. Well, that's just ONE reason. :p

Stan4dSteph posted this link (http://www.mouseplanet.com/more/mm040407lp.htm) to it in the post right above yours.

You can also go to the home page of MousePlanet: Click here (http://www.MousePlanet.com) and in the blue section, click on "Recent Updates" (Link here (http://www.mouseplanet.com/mp/updates.htm))

When I typed "Candy Shops" in the Google Search box on the top of the MousePlanet page, Links #2 and #3 took me to pages that listed the article.

Thanks for posting the link, Steph and Adrienne! I saw this thread but was a little bashful I couldn't find the article on my own.

Lisa Perkis, fun read, fun pictures!

And now I must go eat a marshmallow.
