CARLSBAD, Calif. (Apr. 6, 2004) - Spring Brick comes to LEGOLANDŽ - While the kids are out of school for spring break, take them to LEGOLANDŽ for Spring Brick. LEGOLAND California celebrates spring by opening daily now through April 19 with extended hours until 6 p.m. Guests can walk the all new Block of Fame which transforms a winding, tree-lined walkway into a fun and educational three-dimensional gallery. The new attraction puts guests literally face-to-face with historical and popular personalities who figure prominently in world culture. The LEGOŽ luminaries flank the path leading up to a scenic lookout point where The Art of LEGO gallery presents a whimsical and fascinating LEGOLAND version of world-renown art. Also open in time for Spring Brick is Dino Island, featuring a new roller coaster and a special place to dig for dino fossils. For a complete schedule or more information about the park, call 760-918-LEGO or log on to www.LEGOLAND.com.
Dinosaurs Discovered at LEGOLANDŽ - LEGOLANDŽ California has opened yet two more attractions to commemorate the 128-acre theme park's fifth birthday. Coastersaurus is a rollercoaster that reaches speeds of more than 20 miles per hour as it climbs, curves and dips around a prehistoric jungle of animated and life-sized LEGOŽ brick dinosaurs. Just steps away, young guests pretend to be junior paleontologists at Dig Those Dinos. Climb into a 2,400 square foot pit containing tons of sand to dig up fake claws, teeth and bones, as well as full size skeleton reproductions. To cool off, explorers can arm their battle stations with water balloons at Raptor Splash. Families can place a balloon in the launcher, pull down on the handle, aim, and fire! You might get sprinkled, sprayed or saturated, depending on the aim of the family across the way! Families can also climb inside a "Megga-Egga-Saurus" or step inside life-sized dinosaur footprints to get an idea of the enormity of the amazing animals. For more information on Dino Island and for a complete operating schedule, log on to www.LEGOLAND.com or call 760-918-LEGO.
