Saw a brief news clip from Paris that showed armed military men at the gates of Disneyland Paris carrying rifles and dressed in fatigues. Is this a normal occurrance or something special. They were not cast members. How do the guests react?

During my visits I've only seen the police at DLP. They were walking around the hotels and Disney Village. It looked like they were very relaxed and friendly.
I've never seen any armed military at DLP. It's a little bit strange to have armed military at the gates of a familiy park, but if it's necessary for our safety then I think I have to be happy with them standing there :crying: Isn't that sad??

I personally haven't seen them myself, they werent there 3 weekends ago, but I did see some photos on DLP.info, looks quite scary, but as was said, if its for safety then I am not going to be unhappy, even if it does take away a little of the Magic as you enter the park :(

Just for your info, the French army were present at Disneyland Paris during the "plan vigi-pirate" which is the anti-terrorist plan, this is not a normal occurance at all, sometimes you can see armed soldiers in the vicinity of the park but mostly in the RER station. Just so that you know the guns aren't loaded, the clip is situated on the belt of the soldier but not loaded in the gun!
