There are lots of inactive accounts on Mouseplanet. Will they remain, or will they be eliminated with the new VBulliten change?

I'm sure there are pleny of really cool usernames that are being hogged by people that haven't been to the site in 2 years. It would be nice to free those up for newbies.

"Deadwood" screen names are not a system resource concern, so there is no reason to delete them other than to free up the name for another member.

Remember that we require people to register a MousePad screen name in order to post a review to our Hotel and Restaurant Review System (http://www.mouseplanet.com/cgi/reviews/do/find.cgi). And many people "lurk" on these boards and never post.

That said, we *have* deleted never-used screen names, (people who have had no activity for at least two years), but this is not a common event. There are no plans to do so in the near future - perhaps when/if we do another thread pruning.
