I know that there is a maximum of some sort on Smilie usage in a post. But what I can't find is the rule.

Is it the total # of smilies? Number in a row? Percentage of total characters.

Or is it some evil mystical number that if you told me you would have to kill me?

If you want my full approval, just keep in mind that you came very close to using too many in that very post. Act on that knowledge accordingly and we'll get along fine.
