I just realized that the Anheuser-Busch run Sesame Place will be featuring the now Disney-owned characters...( though some like Big Bird are owned by the PBS run Sesame workshop....)

I was under the impression that none of the Sesame Street characters were included in the muppets deal...which characters are you thinking of?

The Sesame Street characters were not part of the sale to Disney. Disney bought the classic Muppets (Kermit, Piggy, Fozie, etc...) and Bear in the Big Blue House. I believe the Sesame characters were already sold to the people who make their TV show a while back (before the Henson family regained ownership of them). and the Hesons kept other characters and properties like the Fraggles, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, etc...
