BURBANK, Calif., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy E. Disney and Stanley P. Gold issued the following statement in response to today's announcement by CALPERS that they are withholding their 9.9 million votes from Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) Chairman and CEO Michael Eisner:
"We are obviously pleased and gratified with the 'vote no' momentum that is building as we head toward the March 3 Disney annual meeting in Philadelphia."
