Stayed there the first time we went.IT is clean tidy and functional so you should be happy. Those shuttle buses sure get busy best to get to the park early and hang around the village abit after closing till things calm down. The second time we went we stayed at New York now that was posh. And right now we are 3 weeks away from Anaheim yipeeeee

Ok, I admit I did not stay there, but the Santa Fe looked shabby compared to the similarly priced and located Cheyenne.

For whatever it's worth.

My son and I stayed there last July. We are obviously spoiled by WDW resorts because we found the room and the resort as a whole to be "just okay". The buildings, though they may look attractive in pictures, are in reality, pretty drab. The decor within the room is dis-jointed (everything is in a Southwest motif, but the colors and the whole scheme do not match). I agree - Cheyenne Resort seemed to have a bit more of a theme to it.

But if it's clean and functionable (i.e., can you sleep in the bed? bathe in the tub?), then Hotel Santa Fe will be suitable.

Hello,
I've stayed at the Santa Fe hotel for three times. Personally I think there is nothing wrong with this hotel. The rooms look really nice on the inside (but very colourfull), the bathroom is complete and (during my visits) clean and the CM's are helpfull and friendly. It's true that hotel Cheyenne is better themed, but Santa Fe is a good choise. I wrote a hotel review about Santa Fe here on Mouseplanet, perhaps you can reed it if you like (there are also three other reviews about this hotel).
I hope you'll have a nice stay at DLP and the Santa Fe hotel.

I've stayed at Sante Fe, Sequia Lodge and Hotel New York.

Santa fe was the first time and I'd certainly have no qualms about going back to stay there. (in fact first met Mickey Mouse there in the corrider - I was very excited). I didn't bother with the shuttle bus as it is a pleasant walk to the park through Disney viallage in the morning and back again and night (with sore feet).

It is perfectly acceptable in every respect.

i stayed there 8 years ago when i was 6, although i don't remember much, it was clean comfortable and functional...and that's all you need really, especially if you are going to be in the parks most of the time

enjoy your stay! :fez:

I've stayes in all the DLRP Disney hotels. Santa Fe is the cheapest of them, so you get what you're paying for... I prefer Sequoia Lodge, which is a bit more expensive, but so nice!

You can find pictures of every DLRP hotel on this site: http://www.photosmagiques.com/hotels/index.php
