This Saturday night my husband and I went to a romantic dinner at Napa Rose and decided to pop into the park to quickly ride a few rides. We were in the park for less than 2 hours, I would say, and the park was not very crowded due to the rain.

During that short time, in a smaller-than-average crowd, we saw at least 3 or 4 children in adult-sized wheelchairs. Now if they had been in child-sized chairs, I would've probably not thought much of it. But how often does a child who needs a chair need to rent an adult-sized chair at Disneyland? This was definitely out of th ordinary.

I can't help but wonder if these families were all told in City Hall that if they wanted an SAC, they had to have a wheelchair, so they got one?

I'm curious if anyone else has seen this lately at DLR?

Alot of times they are out of the youth wheelchairs (designated with a yellow tape) at the stroller shop so they have to get a regular adult sized one.

Adrienne, when my son outgrew the stroller, sometimes I would use an adult-sized wheelchair to help keep him confined and integrated. I used it for my daughter as well, when she would melt. When they were small, I could put them both in there together. But, we had an SAP anyway.

If they are going to require that kids get wheelchairs if they need an SAP, then they need to provide small wheelchairs.
