Apparently, WDW has made it a priority on its operations side to have internal promotions to leadership positions (aka: Management).
There's a whole thingy called "Leadership Casting Call" with it's own dedicated section of the Cast Portal and a logo and everything (you know Disney is serious when they give something a logo).
It's aimed at providing information to the WDW cast about how to apply for various leadership positions and provides various tools to them to prepare for the interview process.
Essentially, it seems WDW has now made it their goal to hire from within rather than outside when it comes to management positions in operations, which if you think about it, makes a lot of sense. Far too many times there were managers who just didn't "Get" how things worked in some areas because they had no experience in them.
This campaigne seems like a real effort to move up the ranks of WDW rather than bring in outside talent.
Whatcha' think?
