A small update on the progress of construction...

The tallest point of the building has been erected, and marked with the typical American flag to denote it - a way construction folks like to celebrate the event.

The building is massive and looms over Future World. It can be seen most prominently in the World Showcase however, creating a new backdrop for Canada and other pavillions. Up close, it extends high over the tree-line at the Land pavillion's entrance.

So will this be part of a "California" pavillion in Epcot?

No, it's a part of "The Land," currently presented by Nestle.

LoriC, did you take any pictures?

Al of the signs in The Land call the new attraction "Soarin" The "over California" part seems to have been removed from the title of the attraction.
I had heard they were not changing the movie though. Is that still true?

I didn't get pics because my travel companion insisted I need not spend money on a disposable camera - especially if since I don't currently have an income - even if i can live off my tax refund for 4 months easily.

*sigh* I whined all day the rational some kept my from buying one though every time i saw it in the distance i really really wanted to.

I might go back and just bring a disposable camera i have laying around from some unknown family event, i think christmas, that has plenty of pics left on it. I'm afraid i've missed the chance to shoot the Flag though.

And strangely enough, this will be the very first attraction ever copied into Epcot and some folks really aren't too happy about that.
