Walt Disney Co. executives stayed tight-lipped Thursday about Comcast Corp.'s surprise $54 billion offer for the entertainment company, while former director Roy Disney embraced the bid as validating his sharp criticisms of Disney Chairman and CEO Michael Eisner.
Roy Disney, a nephew of founder Walt Disney and former head of the company's feature animation division, has been trying to oust Eisner since being forced off the board two months ago.
