Nagigating the Pad today has been painfully slow. Sometimes taking 10 to 15 seconds to go from page to page. I have a cable modem and other other websites don't seem to be coming up slowly.

I'm wondering - is it just me? Or are others also having some severe slowdown?

If so, is it from the MyDoom virus (wasn't that supposed to *hit* today?)

Or maybe a whole bunch of newcomers from the mention in that article?

It's likely additional traffic from the Comcast story. I, for one, have been checking MousePad many more times a day than I did before the Comcast story broke.

We ran at about 35 - 40% of our sever capacity yesterday. If you look at the numbers, we had as many as 220 people on MousePad at once yesterday. We've been averaging around 100 at a time today.

There has been a LOT of Disney news the past 30 hours, and MousePad is where people go to read and discuss it.

So yeah, it's a little slow. It's one of those good / bad things. It's good that we're getting so much added traffic, but bad for the server bills.

How about throwing some of those numbers out to new sponsors?;)

Okay. I'll do my duty and click some to support the Pad. :D

By the way - the banner ad with the referree that says to take his survey leads to a page at burstnet that isn't there.
