I plan to record some of our WDW trip on a digital 8mm video camera. Can I have that burned onto a DVD, so my kids can watch their trip on the way home (20 Hours) from WDW?
Can it be done, and what company could do it?
Thanks
Lisa
it can be done, but you'll probably have to research businesses in orlando (or nearby) that will do it for you right away since you want to watch it on your return trip! i did a quick internet search and got a ton of places, but none of them located in orlando. most of them were send and deliver.
maybe you could call the resort and they can give you some names.

You could also get a DVD burner and burn them directly from the cam.

Here are a few random thoughts..
1. Does your portable DVD player have video inputs? If so could you play it right from the tape? All you'd need would be a 12v power adapter for the video camera.
2. Does the portable DVD player accept VCD's? If so then all you need is a CD/RW with the right software. Do you have a laptop with a CD/RW?
3. Kids don't seem too picky about video quality (espically when board in the car) does your video camera have a screen? If so just let them watch that (again you might need the 12v adapter).
4. I don't know how old your kids are, but a good book or two always does it for my kids. We often take 1500 mile+ trips with no electronics of any kind and do just fine.
Good luck and I'm sure you'll have fun no matter what...
