Any suggestions to tell my kids they are going to WDW for 5 days. We are having an "unbirthday" party, but I would like a cute way to tell them.

We are having an "unbirthday" party, but I would like a cute way to tell them. hhender102 02-12-2004, 09:20 AM We are also surprising our kids with a visit to WDW in two weeks. We decided not to tell them until the morning we leave. I was also looking for a special way to tell them. So I ordered a personalized Pooh Gram (From Disneystore.com). It only costs $19.50, and I had it personalized with: "Surprise! We're going to Mickey's!" There are a limited number of spaces, but you also get a personalized message card. We got it in about a week, and it is sooo cute. It is a good size (larger than I expected) and the message is actually embroidered onto Pooh's sweater. Very, very worth the money!!! So on the morning we leave (a Fri.) the kids will come down thinking they have to eat breakfast and get ready for school/daycare and their Pooh will be waiting for them. We also got a great deal on Disney T-shirts, so I ordered them and we will put them on the kids' chairs. Since this is a surprise and it is not during a school vacation, I sent a note to all of the teachers asking them if they could keep a secret and asked them to be my co-conspirators. I also gave them plenty of notice and THANKED them. they are doing us a favor getting the work together. I will pick up the homework a week before we leave so the kids don't get suspicious when they get a whole bunch of homework sent home. Hope this helps |
