SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS
TO BE CELEBRATED WITH HANDPRINT CEREMONY
AT GRAUMAN’S CHINESE THEATRE ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5
WHAT: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be celebrated with a handprint ceremony at the world-famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The public is expected to be on hand and will participate in a whistle-a-long to “Whistle While You Work.”
WHO: Snow White, star of the 1937 Walt Disney motion picture of the same name, and known since then as “the fairest of them all,” will be accompanied at the ceremony by her life-long friends, the Seven Dwarfs, -- Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Sneezy, Bashful and Dopey. The cement handprints will then be on display in the lobby of the Chinese 6 Theatres.
At the ceremony, the Dwarfs will be sporting their new looks – as they will be seen in their production “Snow White – An Enchanting New Musical,” which premieres at Disneyland® on February 23.
Honorary Mayor of Hollywood Johnny Grant will officiate at the ceremony.

BACKGROUND: It was the telling of her life story in the 1937 Walt Disney motion picture that brought Miss White to her greatest and most lasting fame. “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” the first full-length animated film, not only launched an entire genre of motion picture entertainment, it also launched the career of one of the enduring film personalities of the century. Walt Disney received a special Academy Award (and seven miniature statuettes) for “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”
