You know, I just got home from my favorite place and riding my favorite attraction more times than I can count and I decided to have a look at MousePad. So I see this thread with my name in it and I think to myself, "Gee what a coincidence, I just bought a t-shirt with the word EVIL emblazoned across the chest (in blood-red letters, of course). How did they know?";)

Sue, your not evil, I love what you write! We are all just mad that we havent seen this yet.

I am also fighting the temptation to read the article about the HM. Does anyone know how long the re-do will be up? Will they be slowly taking things down beginning after X-mas like they do with Small World (I still haven't see that completely decorated--usually some of it's gone by the time I get to SoCal), or will the HM be open until a certain date and then close to be changed back?

Please, don't read it if you are going to get the chance to ride the attraction. You don't want anything spoiled, trust me!

The Haunted Mansion Holiday is scheduled to run through January 6th (that date subject to change at Disney's slightest whim, as per usual) and then it will close to change back into its normal self.

Thanks Sue. I'm still holding out. I read the very beginning of the article and decided that I should probably wait. Believe me, if I could find a way to get to DL any sooner, I would!

January 6, that's good news. It only gives me a coulple days to see it, but this is good to know. Now let's just hope they don't decide to close it down earlier--am I right in supposing that this shouldn't happen given the popularity/lines?

I peeked many times in the days before my last trip and was glad I did! I was so excited and still surprised at every corner my first time on. If you're not going until Dec., it's SO worth looking at the article and pictures. Although I have a hard time believing anyone's still holding out.........

Later I saw the post about the 10/24 DIG update, so I admire your ability to hold out until your trip. Hang in there, although I still recommend peeking......
