Check out the new 50th anniversary Rct 2 edition of Disneyland all created by me. It will be released in about 2 months and it will be 100 % complete. This took me a grand total of the whole time RCT 2 has been out and that has been a while. Im still not done. I have to build a few things that are currently being built. I also have to paint Space Mountain white again!:p
Here are screenshots and I think you guys will be pleased with the accuracy.

It will be availible on www.superiorpcs.com when it is done.:)
I would appriciate it if you guys could give me any feedback.

It looks like you could have used some of The Amazing Earl's custom rides. Would have been a closer match...
There are tons of scenery objects available that lend to making a more accurate reproduction. Including the "Partners" statue.
Or was your goal to only use the stock parts?

I have spent many many hours with RCT. And many times have attempted to build DL. I am soooooooo impressed. (...and inspired)

I wanted to really impress people by only using stock parts and use my imagination to make these rides. Thats what makes it special because it was pure talent and imagination that made this.:)

I didn't see myself. I must be in the bathroom. LOL

Yes I wonder if you were in the adventureland bathroom?
Speaking of the bathrooms, all of them are named! Everything is so detailed and time consuming that I would literally spend 12 hours in a day working on it!

Wow, as an avid player of RCT2, I must say that you did a really good job!!
A few thoughts came to mind. These aren't criticisms, mind you, just some things I noticed.
1) I was a little puzzled by the swinging ship near the Rivers of America at first. Now, I see that it is the area that the Mark Twain is loaded and it makes sense. I seem to recall that there is another ship in the game, the "HMS something" (might be in an expansion pack). You might have been able to use it for the Columbia. Then again, then there wouldn't have been a qeue there without the swinging ship.
2) I really wanted to see the subs in the lagoon, and was so happy that they were there (along with the peoplemover track). Not entirely accurate with DL, in the case of the subs, but let's hope that it becomes accurate. ;) Personally, I would have been tempted to put the skyway in as well.
3) It seemed that the Storybook land vessels should have been boats, rather than the Grizzly Rapids type vehicles. I'm curious why you made that choice. Also, I might have chosen a spinning ride to replace Dumbo.
4) I absolutely love that you placed the dinosaurs near the train tracks to simulate the diorama. Great attention to detail.
5) Did you use the expansion packs? Time Twister has good pirates theming and stuff that would have created a little better detail on POC, and on Main street, for example. Also, there is a teacup ride. Although, if your goal was to do it without the expansion packs, you did great with what you had to work with.
I usually prefer to create new parks, rather than play pre-existing ones but I would make an exception in this case. I would love to download this one. I have seen a few other attempts at creating DL with both RCT and RCT2 but this one is by far the best I have seen so far. Good job and thanks for sharing. I can't wait until it's available.

I think this looks absolutely wonderful! I've created 2 versions myself from using only the stock parts in the original RCT, so I completely understand how much time it took! Great job! :D

About using the wrong boats in storybook, it was because there was not enough room to manuver through there with the pirates of the caribbean type canal. The turns cannot be that small and sharp, they are designed huge so there would be no possible way for me to manuver with the big style boat canal. If you notice on pirates how wide the turns go, and thats because there is only one type of turn on that type of attraction. But with the subs and peoplemover track going, I was just testing all the attractions. Oh just to tell you, there are actually 9000 guests in the park, that is not altered. I will update things as I go. Like I said im not done, and it would be bad if I released a incomplete version.
Oh just for the heck of it, anyone want to see my $4300 dollar voodoo laptop, its orange! You can see it here:

The major problem I had with RCT 2 is that they dont allow boosters on a regular roller coaster like space mountain, so it was pure skill making it without boosters which I had in my original version on the regular RCT. It had to be all from momentum and it had to be altered slightly from the real attraction because of the speed it was going at was not satisfying the guests. Oh just an update, im currently working on Indy, and Toontown, and Fantasyland. Once I finish these things and make a few enhancements to the overall project, I will release it to you guys, and try to do this as fast as possible because it seems like the main reason people on these boards have deviated from using roller coaster tycoon 2 is because they would have to wait a long time to get a map like this, or they would have to build the thing from scratch except the land. Essentially I have been working on this map for over 5 years during the regular roller coaster tycoon. I imported it from the regular version and only the land and trees, etc came out. All of the rides had disappeared, and most land that I used to make buildings was changed to a different color because they designed it so you have to use that wall builder so it was really screwed up. So thats what is taking me so long, getting everything right.

While I appreciate what you are trying to do, I think you are working under a flawed assumption that people are impressed by use of stock parts only to create a park. A great majority of the RCT community understand that the custom objects and rides enhance the look as well as the creativity and imagination of the builder. It takes considerable talent to use them effectively. Using the user created scenery and rides over just the stock parts is like drawing a picture of the matterhorn over taking a photograph of the matterhorn. You can use talent and imagination on both, but the latter is clearly more realistic. Artistic choice...
Check out some of the work at places like RCT2.com (http://www.rct2.com) to see what I mean...

I'm sorry, but I don't like it. It in no way takes advantage of the new capabilities of RCT2. So much more detail and design can go into everything even if only stock parts are used. And since land doesn't have all of the previous textures, using land for buildings just doesn't work. Sorry, I just think you're trying to use RCT2 like you would use RCT1.

Then I would like to see you make an exact duplicate of Disneyland if you think your so good lazyboy. So far im the only one online that has one to talk about. So if you want to alter it to your way when it is availible for download then so be it. So dont criticize me when im trying to be nice working my butt off getting this map to you, which you have no idea how much work went into it.

That was not ment to be a harsh attack. I merely think it is not using the capabilities of RCT2 as much of what is done is using RCT1 techniques. But if you would liek to see images from my fantasy Disney park, Disneyland Resort New York, you may view that here at http://worldsofdisney.net/gallery/index.php?cat=10006. So I do have an idea of how much goes inot a Disney park. I have been working on that since May and am still no where near done. Like I said, I just think it is very much RCT1 style and that RCT2 can be used to create a whole lot more.

Building mine I guarentee was much harder because what your park is, is fantasy not reality. What I had to do was make it from memory, blueprints of rides, park maps, and every little detail is accurate with the actual park. I have one question for you. Are you a regular visitor to Disneyland? The people who go a lot will agree that mine is very accurate and detailed. I also think mine is better themed. We will see what people think of it when I release it, then we will compare the two. I do agree yours is superior in builidngs though. But considering mine is over 6 years old, I would give it a little more slack. The reason it is more like rct 1 is because the land, plants, and props were imported from rct 1 when it was finished in rct 1.
