I thought I had everything covered, but I can't seem to find the article that I read before that said exactly where to go to book Palo. I want to do it first thing when we get on the ship. Can someone tell me? We are on the Magic 3/6/04. Thanks a lot!

I seem to remember reading that you book Palo at Palo.

When you board there is signs to Palo. We got there right away and they were not doing reservations until a few hours later. We boarded at about 11am & reservations were not until 2pm. So we ate lunch then went back and waited. I believe we got numbers and waited until our number was called (like 5 minutes). It was not busy when we were waiting, and easily got the time and date we wanted. If you want to see all the restaurants plus Palo then I would make a later reservation and eat light at the restaurant on your rotation. What ever you do, don't miss Triton's & Animator's Pallete (s/p?) restaurants! They are nice with great food. I brought my camera and video camera to both.
I do believe that if you are staying in one of the suites you have a concierge (s/p?) that will make your Palo and spa reservations for you. A perk for paying so much for those suites (catagory 1 & 2 I think). Otherwise you have to go directly to Palo and do it yourself.

We just have a family room with verandah. Thanks for all the info. We did a short Royal C. cruise in September to familarize ourselves with cruising and we experienced some exactly like what you are describing. We didn't have our dining table assigned yet, but when we boarded the head waiter wasn't doing that yet. When we did go back at 2:00 there was a line around the lobby. That was the only inconvenience of the whole cruise though. I thought that I had read somewhere that you book Palo in a room to the left or right, right after you board the ship, but that must have been a dream or my imagination! Thanks everyone! Their menu is actually posted on the disney website, I thought that was pretty neat.

From what I can remember, when you board go right. Behind the elevator is a hallway to Palo & a bar. Maybe what you were thinking of was the direction to Palo (to the right). A great website with menus and even more info on Palo is www.castawayclub.com

Just returned. They were taking Palo reservations at Rockin' Bar D/Wavebands (so you don't have to shlep up to Deck 10). We boarded before 12. We ended up canceling them though because we liked our servers too much.

Hi,
I would suggest arriving at the ship when check-in and embarkation first opens. As soon as you get onto the ship, go IMMEDIATELY to get your reservations for Palo. Don't stop for lunch, or to go to your stateroom - those Palo reservations go really fast and most of the reservations are used. You might also consider doing the fabulous brunch and/or the afternoon tea - they are both exquisite! Dinner, of course, is divine.... Be sure and have the chocolate dessert because it is truly heaven on earth.
Have a magical day!

We just returned from the 7 day eastern!!! It was great! Palos must be booked as soon as you get onboard. After you are announced go through the hallway to the right and go to the rockin d bar. You should arrive at the port early so you are one of the first onboard and you won't have a problem with ressies for anything. We were the first to check in on our sailing.
Peasy, how far in advance did you book your trip? We booked in 7/03 and my trip was $4200, 2 adults , 1 child and one 2 year old. category 6 with veranda.
I am waiting to book again for feb 2006 when dates become available. Travel agent on the ship said eastern ports may change. I can't wait to go again. You will have a blast. In your dining rotation you end up in 1 restaurant 3 times, that is the night we went to Palos.

Nursegan,...I booked a little over a year in advance. I booked through AAA so we all get the soda mugs for free, $100 onboard credit and all transfers. I also opted for insurance. It was 3,800 for a category 6 with Veranda 2 adults 2 kids, 9 and 4. It just seems to me the earlier you book the better, but the little extra goodies are nice too! When I went to pick up our documents they gave us two little brand new autograph books, luggage tags and a really nice Disney World back pack.
