How much is it to dine at Palo? Also, since your "regular" meals are included, does that mean you can opt to have room service or snacks at the hot dog and ice cream places instead of dining room dining for no extra charge?

Palo has a service charge of $10 per person ( I heard it is worth it).
Room service, high tea, pizza, hot dogs, etc are included in your price. I believe a tip is added on to room service. You can also enjoy the buffets both on the ship and on Castaway Cay (where there are two -- one by the main beach and the other for adults-only).

It is very nice. Quiet...relaxing...and only adults. :) While I thought the meal was rather so-so...the chocolate souffle' at the end of the meal was to DIE for. I still crave it after all this time!

The extra $10 a person was worth it just for the souffle'.

Word of warning...Palo fills up quickly. So, once you board the ship, and check out your room...go directly up to the restaraunt to make reservations, as the quickly go.

Thanks for the responses! $10 a head for fine dining is not bad at all! And, I recently found out that the Oceaneer's Club is free, and the Lab (Lab is for the infants, right?) is only a few bucks an hour. I'm seriously considering hitting the cruise for a few days on my first and only trip to WDW which I've been planning for about 5 years now!

If I were to do a 3 night cruise and 5 or 6 nights at WDW, which would you do first, and why?

I'd be travelling with a 1+ year old and a 5+ year old.

I was thinking about also hitting Islands of Adventure and Universal, but I doubt I'll be able to make this a 12+ night trip! I wish I could!

The Lab is for older kids (which is free). Flounder's Reef Nursery is the one for the infants and toddlers -- it is SOOOO cute in there. When you first board the ship they let you tour the kid and teen areas (Common Grounds) after that it becomes an adult-free zone.

Dlandmom...we went on the 4 day land, 3 day cruise. We felt we'd do all the running around the first half of our trip...so we could relax on the 2nd half of our trip.
It worked well for us...:D

My wife and I did 4 days on land, 3 at sea for our honemoon in 98. We decided we didn't get enough of the cruise and did the 7 day eastern caribbean cruise this past October. You will probably find the same thing...3 days isn't nearly enough!
