Has anyone who has previously sailed got any good deals through the Castaway Club? I have not received any info about deals for 2004 yet . I usually get a postcard every now and then. I wanted to do a 3 day cruise in June, but the rate for 3 of us category 9 was $2200. $1000 more then I paid for a Sept sailing 1 year ago. So I am waiting for a better rate.

Wow!
You get postcards from them -- I've only gotten one thing since I cruised in 2000.
I wasn't aware they had discounts like on RCCL and Princess (which send out coupons quarterly).
You can calll the CC and ask what kind of deals they have now :)

The last postcard I got was very neat, I saved it for my son's scrapbook. The card itself was extra large. It was a hologram of a bottle floating on the ocean, then if you turn it sideways you can see a DCL ship coming out of the bottle. I got it in August 2003 for the Fall & Winter deals. Since then nothing. I sailed last Sept (2002) and that was probably my 3rd "special offer" I got int he mail in postcard form. I believe the deal was a 3 day sailing, category 11 for $349 a person? I could be wrong though. The postcard is now glued down in my son's scrapbook from our cruise in 2002.
If anyone hears anything, please post:) Thank you!!

OK, I just lifted the postcard from the scrapbook and it says to book by Jan 31, 2004 for the Castaway Club rates for a 3 day sailing at $419 a person most sailings 1/22-2/5 and 2/26-3/4. Then for the 7 night Eastern sailings every other Saturday 9/4-12/11/04 at $799 a person (adult rate, child's rates availible on request). Taxes & fees not included, this is based on double occupancy. Also says to call 1-800-449-3380 or your travel agent.
So this basically answers my own question. No deals in June for a 3 day.

I always wonder why the 7-day deals are only on Eastern -- do less people like that route?
