Hi gang!
the 12th of April 2002 marks the tenth anniversary of disneyland Paris Resort, formerly eurodisney!
Anyone noticed the lack of news about the celebration?
Except for the opening of the Walt disney Studios paris park nothing else is planned!(well its not small but...)
Fanataillusions might very probably not be coming in time for mthe summer season because of the problems with the sound system.
The UK brouchures still talk about the Winnie the Pooh show at ther castle syage and the tinkerbell firework at park closing..therefore killing the possibilires/rumors of a new anniversary firework show (sigh..belive) or the pictures posted around the net of a new alladin show at the castle stage!
Mulan and Tarzan are still on the 2002 summer program...this "leaves us" with only the new park as a new 10th aniversary gift!!!
I am very happy for the studios to finally materialize (hey its forem 1995 that we where waiting) and DLP park is under a toital refurbisment...so to make it beautrifull in time for the aniversary!
But I feel that at least the partners statue (no word about it), and some new parades/firework/shows should be comiing...along with the announcment of a new E ticket for 2003!
Yeah i know rumors talk abvout the bears being converted to Pooh in DLP (DLP bough FOR SURE) one set form DLs 2 theatres), and phase 2 of the studios seeing construction start VERY soon!
But these are rumors without a clue...any news?

Could Splash Mountain be coming?

Possibly splash could be the next e ticket ride for DLP park!
The park desperatley needs a new "long" e ticket ride...something on the scale of splash or Indy.....something which could make people want to re ride it often (like Space mountain) and envelops everone in a total invorenment (like pirates)!
But I guess it will be for the end of 2003 minimum..and possibly not with a Song of the south theme but somehting else...possibly Lilo & Stich or Emperors new groove.......
Dont believe the doubts about the weathe problems for splash...Tokyo has the besty version and it is always crowded even when its snowinmg ( the can eliminatew the splash)!
Many sources confirm that one of the 2 sets of bears from the Country bear theatre in DL has been bought by DLP and probably will be adopted to a totaly new attraction...ie no CBJ in DLP but possibly use the AAs for Splash or Pooh (all 3 resorts will have a Pooh ride by 2003, DLP is loosing its Pooh stage show for the new Alladin one...imagine the loss of revenue from pooh merchandise if an attraction isnt placed swiftly)!
But still...no idea of whats coming t the park for the 10th anniversary?

Hi,
i hope you're right mickeyfantasmic for the new E-ticket in 2003. But is 2003 the date they will announce it (to open in 2005) ?
I mean all E-ticket ride need between 2 and 3 years to open from the moment they break the ground... Beside refurbishment there is no building started.

For the rumour that Fantillusion won't appear in summer 2002 for a trouble with a sound system. I really doubt about it. It's probably more a budget reason. When landscaping budget is cut and there won't be any money for a new show/parade next year... And I don't mention what you said: the lack of grand plan for the anniversary!

In the end I wonder how they will handle this. They said they didn't have to to do something new in 2001 because they will have a killer parade the year after and the WDS.. IMHO DLP really has to move on to the next thing now...

Of course they will have the WDS to attract people. I, with other DLP fans, think that this park (WDS) had nothing that make you feel in love of DLP and return again & again, but the general audience should be attracted...at the beginning. Repeat buziness is another story. And we are not in a WDW situation, DLP resort really works like Anaheim.

Just my 2cents. I am going to DLP this sunday to buy some of those highly promoted pins but I would rather put my money in a money box at City Hall marked "For our next E-ticket, Thank you."

I agree that DLP really needs a new 'E' ticket ride as soon as possible !!

Having just gotten back from WDW where they have not had a new "E" ticket for a few years, things are not going well.

They have only really added new parades for the 100th anniversary, and that is a real shame.

People want new rides, not shows or parades, they just don't have the same repeat value.

Add Splash at DLP and TOT at WDS as soon as possible.
