Now that the shock has worn off and things are starting to settle into the adjustment phase, how has it been going at my most favorite park? I am used to the system here at WDW, where the distance between attractions is extremely limiting and there are many mainstream queues. Here, though, there are not so many convenient places to sit, wait, and wonder how the rest of the family is doing on the rides. You have to walk a ways to get there!
I am just guessing from afar, but I imagine that the wheelchair traffic increased for no good reason, cane sales have gone through the roof, and it is hard to find a seat anywhere.
The new guys from WDW won't remember the history of the Disney's California Adventure Anti-AP fiasco in 2001, when they decided that they wanted to restrict the number of APs with 2-park passes so they could concentrate on providing a more ????? experience for the tourist-guests... and nearly lost their shirts from the nosedive in business, which made the current discount AP system necessary. If their concession and dinner business drops now because people cannot handle a half-day in the park and decide to go elsewhere...
