It is true -- you can eat nonstop on a cruise :)

Creativity and Convenience Headline New Menu of Dining Options Aboard Disney Cruise Line
_
PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. -- With new dinner menus in every restaurant, a full-service casual dining alternative, character breakfasts and themed dinner parties, Disney Cruise Line peppers its innovative approach to shipboard dining with new ways to please tastes of all ages.

* Captain's Gala -- An elegant cruising tradition, featuring fine wines and a menu of French Continental cuisine.

* TROPICALifragilisticexpialidocious! -- A dinner and deck party that salutes the rich heritage of the tropics as colorful island tunes and dancing servers complement a Caribbean-flavored meal. (eastern Caribbean only)

* MEXICALifragilisticexpialidocious! -- A dinner and deck party featuring Disney characters dressed for the occasion, a live mariachi band and Latin-inspired cuisine. (western Caribbean only)

* The Best Of... -- The newest themed dinner, celebrating the best of American cuisine prepared with a special Disney culinary twist.

* "It's A Small World" -- An end-of-cruise celebration inspired by favorite dishes from around the world.

* Casual Dining -- A full-service alternative that allows guests to enjoy a full dinner on their own schedule.

* Character Breakfasts -- More than just a meal, popular Disney characters sporting Caribbean attire meet with guests for picture-posing and signature-signing.

* Tea with Wendy Darling -- Peter Pan's pal, Wendy, shares tea with guests during an afternoon service of iced tea and cookies.

* Late-night Tray-serving -- Servers move throughout the ship with silver trays of hors d'oeuvres so that guests don't have to miss out on late-night entertainment.

Disney's rotation dining concept allows guests to experience three different themed restaurants during their vacation. All along, their tablemates and servers accompany them.

* Lumière's -- A grand dining room with a French flair, resembling those aboard the classic transatlantic ocean liners of the past. (Disney Magic)

* Triton's -- An elegant setting where guests enjoy fresh seafood among "Under the Sea" themes. (Disney Wonder)

* Animator's Palate -- A tribute to Disney animation, where a one-of-a-kind, multi-sensory dining experience places guests in the middle of an animated classic as the restaurant transforms from black and white to brilliant color.

* Parrot Cay -- A casual eatery inspired by the vibrant colors and casual architectural styles of the Bahamas.

Disney's signature restaurant at sea, Palo, treats guests to sweeping ocean views and northern Italian specialties. Located high atop both ships, it's the perfect setting for romantic dinners and intimate gatherings. During sea days, Palo hosts a spectacular champagne brunch and a traditional high tea. Due to its popularity, reservations are required at all times.

There are also quick-service spots onboard that can accommodate appetites of all sizes. Topsider Buffet (Disney Magic) and Beach Blanket Buffet (Disney Wonder) prepare breakfast and themed lunch buffets daily. Pluto's Dog House and Pinocchio's Pizzeria serve savory snacks such as burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and pizza. Scoops serves ice cream treats, fresh fruit and sandwich wraps. Around the clock, guests can order stateroom dining or refresh themselves with complimentary iced tea, lemonade, assorted juices and teas, and coffee at a self-service beverage station located on deck.

At Castaway Cay, Disney's private Bahamian island, families enjoy an "all-you-care-to-eat" island barbecue, while adults can choose from a menu of grilled sandwiches at the far end of the island, an area reserved just for them.

You missed the 11:30 pm dessert buffet on the 6th night! We LOADED our plates with bits and pieces of over 60 different desserts, then grabbed a huge glass of cold milk from upstairs and watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame in our rooms. Whatever you do, if you're on the 7 day cruise, DON'T miss that dessert buffet! They host it in Lumiere's, and the quality is exquisite!

Thank god for the stairs -- otherwise the ship would slowly start sinking into the Atlantic :)

I started the Atkins diet last April, and have lost 50 pounds. For the cruise, however, I put it on hold and ate to my hearts content. I held NOTHING back from my belly, and it was worth it!
