Aimz 12-06-2003, 07:23 AM Nice photos, Darkbeer. I loved #21, with the buggy covered in poinsettias. I'm using that as my wallpaper now. So, why are they removing Hammerhead? Aimz 12-06-2003, 11:12 AM Oh, ok. I'm wondering though why they didn't just put this new ride in at another location and have more rides, instead of taking away one. Is there limited space at the park? Or were there a lot of technical problems with Hammerhead? Come to think of it, the last couple times I've been to Knott's, Hammerhead wasn't operating. Not that I'm going to miss Hammerhead, just curious. Darkbeer 12-06-2003, 11:43 AM The two rides are similar, and the maintenance on Hammerhead was a pain, and expensive. And space is becoming an issue, they just moved the Church across the street... The big talk is the next thing to go is Kingdom of the Dinosaurs in late 2005, to start building another coaster type ride in that area..... Dlandmom 12-07-2003, 05:16 PM Thanks for the pics! My husband took our daughter today to celebrate her 4th birthday. It was her first ride on the Log Ride! I wish I could've been there (I stayed home with our newborn). I was in the neighborhood, so I stopped by to walk through Ghost Town and check out what I thought would be the last day of Christmas decorations...they were already gone! Boo hoo, they sure don't leave things up very long!
