Oh brother! Just got the latest spam from Disney. Among other things:

Time Is Running Out! Collect These Classics Before They Go Back Into The Vault!

Hurry! On January 31, Sleeping Beauty Special Edition, Fantasia 60th Anniversary Edition, Lady And The Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure, Fantasia 2000, The Jungle Book 2, and 101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure go back into the Disney Vault.

Hit the slopes with Jack the snowboarding chimp with a sneak peek at MXP: Most Xtreme Primate, coming to DVD and Video January 20. From the snowy slopes head to the grassy plains and The Lion King 1.5 for a glimpse at Timon and Pumbaa’s version of the “real” story behind The Lion King.Or get a double dose of Lizzie McGuire with a preview of Lizzie McGuire: Fashionably Lizzie and Growing Up Lizzie, both on DVD and Video December 9.
Anything direct-to-video is automatically OUT of my "classic" category, including, but not limited to the feeble:
Lady And The Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure
The Jungle Book 2
101 Dalmations II: Patch's London Adventure

And mentioning these in the same sentence as the "Disney Vault" is just sickening. And why didn't they entitle 101 Dalmations II more honestly: 101 Dalmations 4 (following the original, the live-action remake and 102 Dalmations)

And who in their right mind is mildly interested in:
MXP: Most Xtreme Primate
The Lion King 1.5
Lizzie McGuire: Fashionably Lizzie
Growing Up Lizzie

I can barely stand this stuff when it's on the Disney Channel for (semi) free!

So out of the whole spam, the only thing worth buying is POTC: TCOFBP, Sleeping Beauty, Fantasia and Fantasia 2000. So how can I buy 3 and get 1 free when there's only 2 I want and don't have?!

So I think it makes sense to call it "2" as it is the first sequel to the animated original. Kind of like the fact that the new live action Perter Pan movie (even when Disney was still involved) isn't going to be called Peter Pan 3, even though there's already an origianl and sequel animated.

The sequel "Vault" is called a "Trash Bin" everywhere else.

There's the Classic Vault and then there's the Sequel Sewer.

Just a technicality...but 'Jungle Book 2' DID have a theatrical release.

Okay. Then both the people who saw it in the theater are free to ignore part of my rant about it.

Technicality...only One person actually saw it...the other walked out.
