This is really an ingenious strategy on Roy and Stanley's part, don't you think? Getting Disney shareholders to overlook the modest gains that the corporation has made over the past year by pointing out how much better the Walt Disney Company could theoretically be doing if Michael Eisner weren't in the hot seat.

You know, when I read the prior JH article, which addressed whether a deal was already in the works for Eisner's leaving, I wondered what kind of parachute he would receive. It goes without saying that it would be huge, certainly much more than the Ovitz deal, and that brings into question the pending litigation against the board - if they could be held responsible for the Ovitz fiasco, an Eisner payoff would be incredibly damning, and there is no way the stockholders would tolerate it. They really are up against the wall, exactly where they belong, and they seem to only have one clear choice- get rid of him, and fast. I have to say, I like the Vegas odds!:)
