In the WDW update, it is stated under Ride Refurbs that
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress opens from park open to park close for the duration of the Stitch's Great Escape! construction.

Why put that in? From my vague memories of WDW, isn't that buliding completly seperate from the AE buliding?

You are correct -- the two buildings are across from each other. However, if a major attraction is going to be shut down for a long time, it would make sense to open another attraction (that is usually only open on high-capacity days) to take up the slack.

Because the missing attraction capacity previously and usually filled by Alien Encounter is now being filled by the Carousel of Progress and TimeKeeper — both of which are perennially on the chopping block, and one of which (TimeKeeper) was actually declared "Closed" with all signage and map references removed.

Yep. Since CoP and TK have only been open seasonally for the last two or three years, people have complained that I did not list it as such. With them open for the duration of the rehab, I decided to list them that way.
