I need your help. Desperately. My Mom requires oxygen to sleep and is planning to visit WDW with us during the week of December 8. She contacted the resort we are staying at and they happily referred her to a place nearby that they apparently have worked with who deliver to WDW resorts. HOWEVER, it is closed and she is having extreme difficulty finding anyone who will deliver to WDW.
She is flying from CA (we are flying also) and so "bringing it along" in unacceptable to the airlines.
CAN ANYONE LIVING IN ORLANDO help me????
With great thanks....

A similar situation happened to my sister-in-law's sister. She was coming from Alaska to visit my sister-in-law in San Diego. They had the doctor in Alaska get in touch with a medical facility in San Diego and made the arrangements that way.
The oxygen was delivered the afternoon they arrived.
Maybe getting the docotr involved will open a few more windows of opportunity.
Hope that helps-Good luck to you & Mom and enjoy your trip!

Here you go.
Medical equipment rental companies in Orlando (http://pixiedustinn.com/disabilitiesfaq/RentalWheelchairsandECVs.html)
I think the first company link is buggy, but you should be able to find what you need there.

I seem to remember reading good things about scooter rental from the first company in Teri's link in several trip reports on the site. (By the way, the correct link from that page should be www.walkermobility.com) If you search the trip report archive on "walker mobility," I think you'll come up with a number of hits. I don't recall anybody mentioning oxygen equipment rental in a trip report. I think that coralmommy gives good advice in recommending that you involve your mother's doctor. Good luck!

Thanks so much for all your help. I re-enlisted the Disney folks at the reservation # and was connected to a woman whose parent also has special needs and she was able to provide me with "above and beyond the call of duty" information. Quite a blessing! We think this is all taken care of.
Thanks again!
