Not to beat a dead horse again ... but the ADA had nothing to do with the walk thru being closed nor does it have anything to do with keeping it from being reopened. I'm too lazy to go find all the links but this has been discussed multiple times over the last 2 years. Official reason, security issues.
Replace Snow White???????????????
You have got to be kidding:)

I mean, oops! That sounded naughty! Not with each other! (Unless your game, Not Afraid, then whoohoo!...:~D :p )
Please Bring Back:
*Adventures Thru Inner Space. Am I the ONLY one who thinks the "rad technology" that was once Star Tours is now kinda dated & played out? Sorry, ST fans! :(
*America Sings. Move all the animals out of Splash, leave it a sad, vacant flume, and bring back America Sings. I want Sam The Eagle. I never got soaking wet on America Sings, either.
*I have to agree with the "P.C." version of POTC. It makes me sad, since I always thought the girl in the barrel was so adorable, and of course, I so totally wanted to own the pink satin-like shoe of hers that the Pirate next to her held! (I'm way frilly!) :)
I love ST. But yeah: it is a little dated. Yet, I don't think it's the technology. The Star Trek attraction in Las Vegas (soon to be opening a second one in the spring!) is awesome; and that utilizes the exact same thing.
The film used for Star Trek in Vegas is awesome and totally engaging. The film used in ST is very dated and somewhat boring. To me, the future of this attraction depends on the film: either get an exciting, more engaging one, or just allow ST to die a slow death.
Another great way to boost attendance and assure the survival of ST is to makeover the Star Trader. Dress it up. Perhaps do a Moss Eisley theme.

Oo, I just thought of another one:
Bring back the big bands at Carnation Plaza!

>>One "urban legend" I'd like to find out about : I've heard that Captain Hook's Galley was dismantled and re-built inside the Peter Pan ride, but the boat near the end of Peter Pan seems too small to be the old Galley. Does anyone know for sure?<<
The entire ship had been slated to move near the entrance of StorybookLand for the New Fantasyland redo, but the crane dropped the ship accidentally, or it fell apart when lifted, and the whole thing was demolished. A true disaster. They never budgeted to rebuild it, but some of the pieces of the deck mouldings and rigging were used inside the Peter Pan ride.
I'd like to see it brought back as Baxter intended.

It was where Dumbo is now. They were going to put it in that wide walkway area between the Motor Boat Cruise launch and the Story Book Land Canal Boats. Of course, if they did, there would have been little room for "Light Magic"..........
I often wonder if they had planned on keeping Skull Rock too.
1) Submarine Voyage
Though I would add a Little Mermaid overlay.
2) Captain Hook's Pirate Ship and Skull Rock
3) Adventure Thru Inner Space

There's still plenty of room there. That Light Magic light tree pavillion (now used for character meet and greet - - still is an eyesore that really needs to go) is a huge dead space, and there is more of the same across the way, between Storybookland and FL Theatre. The Alpine gift shop by the Matterhorn is dead space too, as is all of the Motor Boat cruise. There is more than enough room to bring this back (and an improved Skull Rock) and still have a wide float parade route.
Better yet - - put the Pirate Ship/Skull Rock back where it was as a key Fantasyland centerpiece and move Dumbo to the Skyway hill, next to Casey Jr.

Hey everyone! This is my first post on MousePad! I'm Sam J and I'm originally from California, but I'm going to school in Boston, MA... I miss Disneyland, but I'm looking forward to going back sometime soon! I'm so excited to join this community.
I would bring back:
1. Tomorrowland 1967 (including Space Mountain, Submarine Voyage, Rocket Jets, PeopleMover, and white paint scheme)
2. Cool entertainment with parades and shows updated annually (Beauty and the Beast live, The Lion King Parade, The Hercules Victory Parade, The Spirit of Pocahontas, The Huncback of Notre Dame Festival of Fools, etc.)
3. Full maintenance and upkeep!
I want to see the Rocket Rods, and Superstar Limo

Three things:
1. Bring back the subs.
2. Bring back the old Golden Horseshoe revue with the can-can girls.
3. Bring back the old parking lot. :D

Of all the suggestions made so far, the suggestion of "Bring back the old parking lot" strikes me as odd. The advantages of the new parking arrangements include:
1. Covered parking, in most instances;
2. Better security [don't recall bicycle security cops in the old days];
3. Speedy trams running continuously.
Gemini Cricket, can you express your thinking on why the old parking lot was better? I'm really curious.

A picture was just posted on this thread: http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22304
showing the ship, skull rock and its relationship to the Mad Tea Party in its original location approximately where Dumbo's Flying Elephants are now (prior to the 1983 Fantasyland renovation).
That's so cool!
I'm in for bringing it back :)

O.K., I see your point. But we've got to find a way to save "Soaring", since that's a pretty decent ride.

1) the former restaurant that is now the Annual Pass processing center (which as of 11-09-03 looks like an abandoned Restaurant/peeling paint/cob webs/roof structure collapsing near the Tiki Room)
Sad focal point for the center of the park.
2) the Submarine Voyage...
3) the People Mover...

They should turn that into Tony's Italian Restaurante like in Lady and the Tramp! Then Tony and Joe could serenade diners (and maybe an AA Lady and Tramp) out on the veranda. Good show.

I think anything at this point would be an improvement. Very creative idea though! I'd vote for it...

Tinkerbell flying from the top of the Matterhorn after the fireworks. (yes, I'm a child of the 70's!)
Bear Country Jamboree. Either that, or sell Max, Buff, and Melvin to me for my office. It's an antique western theme, but I won't put real animals in there. My husband would hate it - but I'd love it!!!! And if they DO bring it back - bring back the original, politically incorrent show, w/ the "Blood on the Saddle" song and all. The cheesy show they started running in the 80's was aweful. No wonder people didn't enjoy it as much.
And finally....In June we couldn't get to the fort on TSI - they were redoign part of the island. And last week, we didn't have enough time. Is the fort gone???? They need to leave some of the old west stuff. Bear Country has turned to Critter Country (just not the same) and I miss the Davy Crockett coon skin caps, guns, etc that we loved as kids. I'm just not a hug Pooh fan I guess.
