I still have three Ultimate Park Hopper tickets which were unused from our visit in October 2002. I was told by the reception desk at Coronado Springs these never expire. When I called Disney last week to book another trip, the man said they can not be used once you check out of the resort. Two different stories here, which is the truth?

Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus passes do not expire. Ultimate Park Hopper passes are valid for the length of stay.

How are they unused? Did you not go to the parks while you were there?

We did, but we stayed three nights at the resort and had a 4-day Ultimate Park Hopper pass (3 of them). When I told the woman last year we would only need 3, she said "Don't worry, you can use them on your next visit." We only used 3 of the 4 days. Apparently, they swindled me.

I feel your pain - last year we bought Park Hoppers ( not Ultimate though) and it seemed that for every person I talked to at Disney - there was a different story on them. We had a HUGE problem, that spanned the two months leading up to our trip - and ending when I got there and all the letters I had written, calls I had made not being anywhere in our reservation records. Thanks god I'm uptight about stuff like that and had with me, the complete record of who I talked to when, what about, copies of the letters I wrote - UPS confirmation #'s so I knew they did get them....in the end - the CM who last helped us ended up giving us free tickets...but by that time even free tickets didn't make us feel any better. Sometimes - I guess we just have to take our turns getting the shaft! That being said - two previous trips were problem - free. I hate to be like this - but I'll always be a bit bitter about the whole thing.

Or the cast member was poorly trained on ticket media. 4-day UPH passes are standard for three-night stays and run from the day you arrive through the day you depart, or four days in total. If you arrived late on the first day (late enough to make a park visit impractical), they should have let you downgrade to a 3-day UPH with a little cash back. (Unless it was part of a pre-purchased all-in-one package, in which case they may not be allowed to do the exchange.)

dont know if it would help,,but have you tried telling someone else there your situation?Sometimes just by being VERY persistant and very polite......they will take care of you.Just be firm and if you get no where..try and try again.Good luck to ya!!:)

Isn't the "Ultimate" part for entrance to Pleasure Island, Water Parks, etc? I believe entrance to those places expires four days after purchase, but entrance for four days into any or all of the four parks does not expire.
Of course, it's been over ten years dsince I bought a pass like that.

No, the Ultimate Park Hopper is what you would remember as Length-of-Stay pass. The non-theme-park admissions are now considered "Plus" features, and do not expire off of standard Park Hopper Plus passes (same with the theme park admissions).

How can you physically 'have' them? When I went with a package they were on a room cards; did they used to be tangible?

Do you turn your room cards in when you leave, or take them home with you? I know that I have mine going back many years.

There seems little point in turning it in at the end of your stay: it's got your name printed on it, so cleaning it and remounting it on a laser printer carrier sheet would likely cost more than the card itself.

I lost the one from my 2000 visit, sometime after I did my last theme park visit (AK, if I remember right), but before I got on the shuttle bus to the airport. Maybe somebody else got half a day of park admission on it (big deal).

The one from 2002 is mounted in my 2002 vacation album.

James, my response was (probably a little sarcastically) to millionairegirl's post. As I said, I have quite a collection of room cards and park passes going back quite a few forms. (Including our "Gold Key" cards from our 1987 honeymoon.) It was kind of a "of course they still have them" answer.
