Okay.. I know you need to make money and all but this is getting out of control. One was annoying but bearable...Three is just too much in my opinion...can you do anything about it?

We agree with you wholeheartedly, and are working to remove that three pop-up advertising from our rotation. Unfortunately, we do not know what ads they are going to serve us until we get them. Thus, we are in a position of having to try and play catchup when something like this happens.

I apologize on behalf of the entire MousePlanet team for these ads, and we will stop them as soon as possible.

Are these some of the "extra" ones(pop-ups) as a result of the spell check option reinstated??

No, it is a lovely surprise provided to us by the company that does our banner ads.

There was a Pop-Up-Stopper mentions on one of these treads, I have the install somewhere on my comp. It works really well, but will stop New windows from popping up from non-MP links. It works GREA on "Other Sites" :)

We have stopped the offending ad, so everyone should only see the regular annoying type of popups from here on out.

It's called POW! and it works! Allows you to accept or deny pop-ups.

AnalogX has MANY terrific programs that are clean, light and powerful.

I've been logged into MousePad for 6 minutes, and I've got 4.

I never read the posts in this directory. I'm glad I finally did! I installed POW yesterday and I'm so pleased. Those pop up ads were really getting to me! Pow works great. Now I just have to remember to start the program before I log on to MP.

Burst! should let you filter ads based on whether or not they contain popups. At least, they did at the time we left their network.

I may be jinxing myself here but, I don't get any pop-ups. I just get the banner ad from Classmates that asks me if I've seen these people before. I don't mind pop-ups as long as you can find them and close 'em. The ones I hate are the ones that send out another pop-up just before you can click the first one off.

You know fantasmicfan82, they do have those type of pop-ups on other places besides your dirty websites. Its possible that is what DisneyLad was refering to. :p :D ;)
