I want to invite all of you to come out to Halloween Haunt this year to see your favorite board member, me! I will be in the Blood Bayou attraction. I don't know what or where in it I will be yet, but I will keep you posted!

Well I will be starting at the Farm tomorrow night. I was an on-call monster, and low and behold they finally needed me. If you come through the Blood Bayou maze, I am the old guy holding the hatchet. I tried on my costume and mask today. I look pretty darn cool. Sorry I wasn't there as talent Friday night Matt, though I was there as a park visitor. What a great month. First I got to visit Knotts as a guest and now as talent!

I'll be sure and say hi if I see you in the maze or backstage!
By the way, Blood Bayou is cool this year!
It got really strange after I was completely seperated from my party...
All alone in the bayou! :)

I think I saw you last night there. You scared the bejeezus out of me! I forgot you said you were working there, so it was cool to see a fellow Mousepadder there. Hope you scare more people tonight! Keep on haunting!

No1here: Well, the oldman I said hi to (in the living room) wasn't you!
I asked if he was No1here from Mouseplanet...and he said "Who"? hahaha.
*******SPOILERS.........SPOILERS.........SPOILERS. .........*******
Now for my complete report of the Scary farm trip: (Thanks to http://www.themeparkadventure.com for the tickets and the following is my post on Ricks TPA boards, which I couldn't link to due to use of frames.)
"10/28...Did the Pre-Buffet at 4 pm..was excellent...nothin' beats Ma Knott's Chicken.
Was the first ones at the rope in the pre-holding area...and first ones on the fog bound street. Headed right for the 1st maze..Horrorwood Fright Festival...not too 'whelming'...much of it was just empty Hallways, with only a few lethargic 'critters' afoot and a few weak can shakes. (Too early?) Little girl and T.V. set only thing remembered. Ho hum...off to
Blood Bayou...
Overall I have to say the favorite maze of the night hands down. Looked right..felt right and the Monsters were working it. The 'Pigs' get special kudos for extra effort. Voodoo Sacrafice was 'manned' only by a guy laying under the table...so missed that part. Off to
Malice!
The 3-D paint job was pretty cool. The March Hare was the only one that seemed to be working the gig...he was EVERYWHERE! Some can shakes and bit of running around...maybe my expectations were too high...it was cool...but somewhat undermanned I'd guess. No 'wall-blenders' and if there was a 'Malice' I didn't see her. Worth it for the 3-D effects though and some props. Very long maze.
Clowns...(Malice 2)...not as much as I'd heard...somewhat dissapointing though a few of the Clowns were active...again 3-D paint job was good...there were 'Wall-blenders' which worked nicely THOUGH they blend better without the glasses which tend to 'bring them out' more. Off to
The Gauntlet...not much fog...a couple of Monsters working the gig...others just 'there'...
Lore Of The Vampire
Being still ticked off that Dominion Of The Dead was eliminated...there was no way I was going to be impressed with this mess anyway. There were a few VERY beautiful Vampire women that did their thing well...a Vampire slider at the entrance...a couple of actors inside that TRIED...bit they had NOTHING to work with but darkrness. Props get a special ZERO (yeah I know, I'm comparing it to the Gone With The Wind of mazes...but I can't help it. Dominion last time we went (1997) was too awesome for words...this is well...flat and a time waster...the fabulous Vampire actors NEED a venue that fits their persona.
More is needed than somebody hiding and jumping out...we want SCENES!
Off to
Alien Attack...YEP! Still lives up to its rep...actors working hard...good FX pieces...sound track in place...really liked this one alot.
Now for all you who think it takes a couple of days to do the Haunt...please note as I looked at my watch as we left Alien Attack...it wasn't even 7:30!!!!!!!! Sunday is THE day to go...no lines yet and the early entry really gets you off and cooking.
The Underground...I was ready for a dissapointment as this WAS one of my favorites...but it wasn't a bad as I expected it to be...the Girls looked good and properly bored as the abrieviated Club Chupacabra spits you back out into the night, as reported, rather abruptly. I liked it again this year though...worth the trip...not as many Monsters as I remember...but those that were there were working.
The Inquisition: Memories of the 1997 150 degree 'get me outa this thing!' kept me out this time...that and a fairly good sized line. Sorry.
Getting toward 8:00 and the first Hanging...we got a good spot and watched it for about 15 minutes...I wanted to like it as I had never seen it before...very energetic and...uh...well...uh time for a smoke. My feet were getting my attention more than the show. Actors were doing a great job...but not on me or Lori.
It was about this time we began to meander with not much direction...wandered down to the SideShow and waited till the first show was over and went back stage to renew some old friendships with the cast...Tim Cridland (Zamora) is the premier side show act on the palnet...don't miss him! (Though I did...I can't watch him do the things he does).
Did The Swamp...???????? What was that? Hardly any fog...a few lethargic 'masks' hanging around...one guy working the people...others were in deep conversation (The three times we went through this place)...Not on the Map. Might mention that the Gauntlet was traversed 3 or 4 times during the night and the SAME 2 'Gargoyle' masks were off to the side having a chat every time...seems they forgot why they were being paid.
Elivra...my God what happened to this show!!!!!! The DJ was intolerable as was the moronic chick who was sitting behind me kicking the seat to the beat and shrill screaming at every word...we moved WAY up in the back but it did no good. Elvira was NOT 'on'...the jokes were non existant...sort of a rambling monolog from Valium injection...I love this act...and it was just sad. She began showing a movie and we walked. Too bad...never again old girl. My wife who had never seen her before said it all..."What the hell was THAT about?"
Spider Woods...Total Misfire and the hands down winner for 'What were they thinking?" award. That's where I got to say.."What the hell was THAT about?" And what was that grey TURD that rises from the little volcano in the middle?
hahaha...very WEAK.
By now the lines were too long to do anything maze related so we got in the 36 mile long line for
Red Moon Massacre (Log Ride)...actually the line moved very quickly...took about 35 minutes max. considering it snaked around from the Hanging stage...this was about 11:10 and I was ready for some WEREWOLF fun. Am I the only one who misses the old Werewolf maze at the Haunted Shack?
The props were good and there were some actors working hard...I love the BIG animatronic Werewolf and the HUGE head and jaws & Paw was a nice touch. Gotta rate this as a GOODY and if there wasn't a line I would have re-ridden in a heart beat. Liked it alot. The ONLY thing that was MUCH better than 1997.
We bought some toys..a Mummy beany and a Wolfman beany for just 5 bucks each...and a cool squeaky Rat for just .50 cents!!! (The booth is at the front entrance...great bargains!)
The food is CHEAP compared to the rip-off of DCA and DL...the Pasta buffet near Ghostrider is just 7.95...what a deal.
Thanks to all the actors who really put out...and to those who didn't...they know who you are.
We easily did EVERYTHING we wanted to do...and could have gotten in a few more of the shows but wasn't interested in a Hypnotist act (yawn) and was too tired to catch the Magic act of Ed Alonzo (which I wanted to catch the last one but we didn't as we left at 11:45)
Thanks to TPA for picking my art as a winner and to all who sat through this long report. Hope you all get to go and have a good time. Despite the grumbles above, we did. (How can you Knott!!!!!!!)
By the way..Vertigo looks like an accident waiting to happen, much less paying an seperate admission to ride ONE ride. What a Joke. I'm one who is totally against seperate ride prices INSIDE a one price park. Imagine if you had to pay each time you wanted to ride Ghostrider! NOT!
Later...Doug.

I'm sorry I missed ya. Did they guy in the living room have a hatchet? If not, it was me and I must not have understood ya! You sure are right about ours being one of the best. I went Oct 4th as a guest and it was one of my favorites too. I must tell you though that up to 7:30 the mazes aren't always up to full speed yet. That is why you saw a lot of missing talent. Anyway, thanks for stopping by...
