I was just wondering if I should stay with my (about) 1 inch thick CD player or if it would be better to get an mp3 player (or minidisc?).
If I get an mp3 player or whatever, which one do you recommend?
Thanks in advance:)

Personally, I love my mp3 player and probably will never go back to a personal CD player. I have The Nomad Zen Jukebox (http://www.nomadworld.com/products/jukebox_zen/) which is slightly bigger than an ipod but was a little cheaper and holds 20GB of music files. That's about 300 hours at 128kbps. I understand that I'm losing something on quality but for the ability to take literally hundreds of CD's in one small player is worth the quality loss.
It's slightly bigger and heavier than a deck of cards. It's fairly easy to transfer files and use the menu in the player. It cost about $300 at Best Buy. I would recommend it.

I personally love the IPod. It takes a bigger investment upfront, but it will last you for years :)
