QuikQuote: French theme-park operator Euro Disney will post a worse-than-expected loss this year, as a slowdown in economic growth in Europe and the war in Iraq kept visitors away, French daily Le Parisien reported on Friday, citing an audit it had obtained. A Euro Disney spokesman declined to comment and said earnings will be released by mid-November.
Net loss in the fiscal year 2002/2003 is set to widen to 58 million euros from 33.1 million euros a the year earlier and the number of visitors will have dropped to almost 12.5 million, 600,000 down from the previous year and two million below what Euro Disney had hoped for, Le Parisien said.
