Excellent article, outlining the pros and cons of the event - and of events in a whole. Great overview.
You were right about Toad - I was there. You were right about Divas, too. I think the key to a great event is the same as the key to a great show or attraction - heart.
You could tell by watching the show that the people who put it together loved what they were doing, knew their audience, and knew their source material. I've never seen a performance show in that theatre where the audience went as crazy as the Revue. And spot-on about making some sort of a Holiday show for everyone out of it. That would ROCK.
