Hi there,
Here is a trip report of my journey at DLP last 27 and 28 august.
I arrived as every time at 07.45 am on the parking. This let me time enough to visit the Disney Village and have a look at the hotel in front of the Hotels. As often, I have a look at the shop of the Hotel New york.
At 08.30 am I am one of the first to enter the Walt Disney Studios. Only Front Lot and Studio 1 are open, this let me time enough to have a delicious and unusual breakfast at Stduio1. While I am waiting for the opening, I can play with the lights (I am still a big child!).
“Enter now the exciting world of Cinema, Animation, television and Special effects !” The park is now open ! I am walking through Production Courtyard to Rock N Roller Coaster. I ride the “green” train. I love the music “back in the saddle”. Then I ride another run. Only 2 trains are running as it is the morning. After 2 runs, I am going to Cinémagique. It is always marvellous to see Martin Scott and Julie Delpy… but I will not tell you the story of this show… After this, I am going to see “Art of Disney Animation”, A friend of mine is presenting how to create a character in a movie. Then I am going to Animagique, this is great! A very nice show in the dark with fluorescent lights. I love the “Under the Sea” scene. At 11.30 am, I feel hungry and want to eat. A good pizza at Studio1 and I am going to Disneyland Park. On that sunny and hot day, on Main street, the characters are arriving on the “All around the world” song. They stop on Central Plazza and meet the guests.
I have a quick walk through the park and then go to Mickey’s Show Time. I meet there a lot of friends. This show has a lot of fans ! This is the first time a show encounter such a success !!! We are now going back to the Walt Disney Studio to see the Disney Cinema Parade. The music is great ! We have time to ride again Rock N Roller Coaster. 3 trains are running but there is no queue, you can board directly the train.
It is time now to go and see “Disney’s Princess Parade”, in fact it is just the “Wonderfull World of Disney Parade” with some sets and another music during the sets.
We decide to go to Adventure Isle, and experience the floating bridge and the suspended bridge too. Some friends want to ride “Indiana Jones Backward”, but I do not want, so I wait for them. As we love Mickey’s Show Time, we walk for another show. The last of the day is always more funny as the other ones.
After this show, we want to ride Phantom Manor, so we go, but one Cast Member tells us that the attraction is 101. We can nevertheless ride !!! It is some audio-animatronics that are 101, and we will be the lasts to ride before the attraction closes for maintenance.
It is now close to 08.30pm, so we are going to “CowBoy Cookout Barbecue” to eat. As it is warm, we eat outside a half chicken. After eating we walk to Central Plazza as Fantillusion will arrive ! “Mesdames et Messieurs et vous les enfants”, Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Disneyland Park est heureux de vous présenter, proudly presents, The Fantillusion Parade ! ». And the lights shut down … I really love the music from the sound speakers! Mickey arrives on his floats followed by the flower garden. He stops in front of the castle and makes his set and gives light and magic to the parade. But Maleficient arrives with Jafar and Ursula, and the “Take the light and make it night”. Maleficient becomes dragon, Jafar a snake. But the princesses comes and the help of Minnie, they turn the dark back into light.
After this wonderful show, Tinker bells magically appears and se lights the “TinkerBell Fantasy in the sky fireworks”.
It is now 11.25pm, time to going back to the hotel. On the way to the hotel, we walk through Disney Village where the party is only beginning. We have a quite walk along the lake.
On the second day, we have our breakfast with the Disney characters at “Café Mickey”. Then we want to open the Disneyland Park ! At 08.57 am, the parks open ! We hurry up to Big Thunder Mountain, then we go to Peter Pan’s flight, and to Pirats. We try to find a “late” rabbit in Alice’s curious labyrinth, and find our way to It’s a small world.
We now decide to go to the Walt Disney Studios to see the “Stunt Show Spectacular”. It is always amazing to see the cars (like my Opel) jumping and swirling at only a few meters from us. I also decide to go and have lunch at the Disneyland Park, at “Pizzeria Bella Note”. We love to eat in this Italian place. After this and to ride something quite, we walk to Snow White and Pinnochio. We then want to have a rest in Main Street. We buy some ices and take our time to see listen and enjoy this moment along Plazza Garden restaurant.
At 04.00pm, the Princess Parade comes.
After the parade we wanted to rock, so we went to ride 4 times Rock N Roller Coaster, and we finish our day at the Walt Disney Studios by a ride at “Studio Tram Tour”.
It is now 06.00 pm, Walt Disney Studios is closed, we walk to Discoveryland, Space Mountain is (again) 101. A train is lock in the launch. So we are making the queue for Mickey’s Show Time, there is not a lot of guests. After the show, we are walking to Fantasyland to have diner at “Le chalet de la marionette”, themed on Pinnochio.
Waiting for Fantillusion, we walk around the park and ride the Mark Twain which has just come back from refurbishment for a few days.
10.25 pm Fantillusion starts, we are like yesterday at Central plaza, and we move after the parade in Main Street to see the fireworks. Today, Tinker Bell seems to have lost her head, as when she climb to the castle, her head is not illuminated.
After the fireworks, it is high time to say goodbye to each other. But we will see us next week…
