No, it's not the worst thing happening in the world today. People are dying all over the world from disease, malnutrition, and war. I personally think suffering and death is far more horrific than procreation outside societal norms concerning age appropriate behavior. It is regrettable when people have children before they are emotionally or financially able to support them, but those criteria are not necessarily restricted by age. As marron-cream also said, I know some great 18-22 year old moms and some truly horrific 35-40 year old moms, and vice versa.
