View Full Version : We've been Slashdotted down to our knees

IF you've managed to get here, here's the deal: Our Disneyland Park Update this Monday included a piece about Lucky the dinosaur.

Slashdot.org, the site for all geeks on the Internet, has just run a front page direct link article about Lucky. Not only that, but they are also hitting our video links hard.

If performance is sluggish for a while, that's why. We're pretty excited that we got a direct link from an actual article (versus a link in a comment buried within the responses), but you'll have to bear with us until the traffic eases up.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I have noticed it's been crawling today, but I've had that problem elsewhere on the net, so I figured it was a net-wide thing.

The price of fame! :)

Funny, I was just about to make a thread saying MP was on Slashdot :fez: :geek:

The worst seems to be over. We've been bumped down their front page by two new articles, and our server seems to be moving again.

Whew!

Oh so that's what it was. Things were so slow yesterday I didn't have the patience to even ask about it. :p

It's burping again. I guess folks went back to work and started Web surfing again. :|

I was just about to say that it's been working fine for me today with no problems, but then I got caught in a 6.5 Richter Scale burp.

Seems all better again though.

I gave up yesterday, it was so slow. Seems ok for me today.

It was a great article on Lucky, BTW! Thanks!
