Ok, I don't know why I all of a sudden have this installed, because I havn't installed anything for the past week, but I have this REALLY annoying piece of Adware installed that pops up about 25 pop-ups everytime I go on a page, plus it keeps on setting my homepage to one of those really stupid search/portal advertisement sites, even after I change it, it also keeps putting icons on my desktop that say things like "Free Viagra" and "Cheep Gambling", and it keeps changing my screensaver to ads, and finally, it puts this REALLY annoting frame on top of every webpage I go to that I can't remove (It looks like this (http://www.herron-family.com/images/ack!.jpg)). It does not appear in Add/Remove programs, plus neither AVG anti-virus or AdAware can detect it. So, has anyone ever heard of this program or know how to delete it?

Ok, I traced it back to mysearchnow.com, but when I download the uninstall app and run it, nothing happens. Arrgh!

Spybot: Search and Destroy (http://spybot.eon.net.au/)
Try downloading/using that. ;)

AdAware by Lavasoft (http://www.lavasoft.de)
Give that a shot, it works for me.

Sorry to say but you must not be using them right because I use both Ad Aware and Spybot and it DOES remove the Mysearchnow stuff. Make sure you download the latest updates and then run the program again. I usually run one and then also run the other to make sure everything is gone.

Well, it does detect them, and it says that it deletes them, but everything is still there. I am using the latest versions of both programs.

Not the latest version, the latest database update.

My only suggestion would be to scour your registry for anything with mysearchnow.com. Especially look for entries in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer as well as
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
Also, look for a file c:\windows\system32\system32.exe Delete if if it's there.
Good luck! (and be very careful if you do go deleting stuff from the registry!)

Well, I did the Reg. check like GD said, and that got everything out EXCEPT that when I enter a incorrect url, insted of taking me to the normal "this page can not be displayed" It takes me to some page full of ads and junk. Arrgh!
