Hey, just so we all know, what's the best way to get to the Tokyo Disney Resort from Narita Airport?
Also, are there cheaper off-site hotels other than the disney offiliated ones closeby?
Does anybody know how to get the address of Tokyo Disneyland so I can get a map of the area?
-Thanks all

Don- here is info about getting from Narita to Tokyo Disney Resort, and a little of info about hotels, too...

The Narita Airport Limousine Bus (it just looks like a regular bus) will take you directly into the resort from the airport. Right after you exit customs and immigration at Narita, you will see the ticket counter somewhere in the arrival concourse area (the concourse is not so huge, so it's easy to spot). They sell tickets for a Limousine Bus that goes directly to the Tokyo Disney Resort (pretty easy, huh?). I believe the price is somewhere around 20-25 US dollars, and will take about an hour.

Here are your other options, taken from the Narita Airport Homepage:
http://www.tokyo-nrt.com/. My notes are in [brackets]

Basic rule- avoid Taxis as much as possible. For short trips, they are ok, but for long trips, watch out!

Taxis

Taxi cabs from Narita to the centre of Tokyo are considered to be some of the most expensive in the world, with the one- to two-hour trip costing from 15,000 Yen which is about 135 US dollars. The taxis also tend to be small, with little luggage space.

Train Services

Trains are a much more economical option than taxis and you have some choice. The JR Narita Express Train (NEX) leaves from the lower level of the airport terminals, so avoiding the need for a shuttle bus. You must reserve a seat on this train, however, and this can be done at the NEX counter at the train terminal. Trains leave every 30 minutes, the journey to Tokyo Station is 75 minutes and the cost is roughly 3000 Yen or 27 US dollars. There is also a slower train run by JR that leaves every 45 minutes, takes 80 minutes and costs roughly 1400 Yen or 12 US dollars.

[Once you are in Tokyo Station, stay within the station, and go to the JR Keiyo line train platform. (Don't worry- there are plenty of signs in English and Japanese within the station, and you can always ask a station employee for 'Keiyo Sen'. Be advised that Tokyo Station is rather huge, and the walk from Narita Express to Keiyo line is about 700 meters- another advantage to taking the Bus if you have a lot of luggage.). Once on the Keiyo line going towards SOGA, get off at Maihama Station. (About a 15 minute ride). You can't miss it- you will see the Tokyo Disneyland parking lot, Cinderella's Castle and Space Mountain from the train! (right hand side of windows)]

Airport Shuttle Buses

Most major hotels will provide a shuttle bus for you, so please investigate when making your hotel choice.

As for hotels, Here are some links for you
This one is for the Japan Hotel Guide- Maihama and Makuhari area

http://www.toyo-agc.co.jp/e-hotelguide/hotels/i_maihama.html

Keihin-Makuhari station is about a 20 minute train ride to the Resort- It is also next to the beach!- before you get your hopes up too high- the sand is volcanic rocks, so it's not so pretty, but it is a beach.

I don't recommend the Maple Inn Makuhari Hotel, though, because you will have to make a couple of transfers to get to Maihama. Any of the others are fine.

This one is for the Makuhari Prince Hotel- Its in Keihin Makuhari, and is fairly reasonable in price.

Keep in mind though- the only way to get guaranteed admission to the Disney Parks is to book your stay through an official Disney Hotel (or Disney Affiliated Hotel). If you book a different hotel, but your travel agent is able to secure your park tickets for you prior to trip departure, then there is also no problem. But if not, it may be a problem to obtain tickets for Tokyo DisneySea once you are here.

Let me know if any other info is necessary!

Thanks guys, this well help a lot! I just started a two year x-ray program so I probably won't get to go until classes break in may as I don't want to travel during the holiday period. That should give me plenty of time to plan this trip. If only they had 5 day park hoppers, oh well.
I'm planning on buying plane tickets on travelocity unless you guys know of a better way.
Thanks again for your help! I know a lot of us are turning our attentions that way but planning a trip to a foreign country can be daunting.
Keep the inexperienced traveler in mind when you design your websites. Things like city locations and proximity to grocery stores help us fell at ease.
-Thanks
