When we visited with my 4 year old son I was afraid he would be too wired to take a bath. Several months before we made the trip to 'mecca' I started collecting those little wash cloth towel things from the Disney store. Every night before bath I would pull out a new one and he jumped right in. He was so excited to have the new cloth that there was no fight!! The Disney cloth and the Mickey Mouse soap from the hotel was a winning combination!!

Gee, I'm away for a few days and almost missed another tip from you. Thanks for the thought. I like the idea of special bath time goodies as part of making the whole vacation seem special as well. It keeps the good attitude going and adds to the fun. We also had a ritual of reading in the room before bedtime together (my husband does a suspiciously good Hermione) and that had to wait until everyone (even me) was ready. That kept the even moving along as well. It's funny how these little memories are as significant as actually being at the parks. And also as every parent knows- bedtime rituals are one of our best tools to get kids to move towards sleep. So on vacation they must be extra important with all the other changes.

I guess the absolute best part about these little buggers is after we're home. We've been back for almost 4 months :( and every night he uses one of those little wash cloths and we have to discuss our trip to wdw all over again. It makes the magic just live on and on...
I'm a firm believer in a bed time ''ritual''. Part of that ritual is reading, for the last 4 months I have been reading Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella every other night. I don't know who enjoys it more, me or my son.:D

I like your idea better than mine!
I packed little animal squirters, they are actually party favors, but make great little bath toys as they can squirt and float. I also bring along a can of fun foam. Of course mickey soap helped too!
Next time I go to the Disney store I will pick up some of the washcloths.
Thanks for a great idea!!
