View Full Version : Carthay Circle Restaurant [dress code?]

Does anyone know whether or not the new Carthay Circle restaurant will have a dress code?
We are going mid-July and I want to make ressies and be prepared for wardrobe changes if necessary.

Oh, good question! We have reservations for late July, the Fantasmic package and I never thought to ask about a dress code.

I'm no expert for fine dining in the parks (Club 33, Napa Rose) But from what I've read in the last hour researching your question, I have no definite answer. Given the parks casual dress atmosphere for lunch attire at Club 33 for instance. I would assume the new CCR would fall in that same catergory. I've also read that dinner entrees are in the $30+ range,
so perhaps abit more effort to 'dress up for dinner' would be appropriate. I ate dinner once at the California Grill over at WDW. Wearing khakis and a nice polo shirt, I didn't feel too out of place.

I would think any restaurant in the parks (as opposed to the hotels) which are open to the public would permit casual dress. At WDW a "business casual" attire is only required at certain hotel restaurants, none of the restaurants in the parks require that. I would think DL's policy would be the same.

I would have to agree. This restaurant is in the park and therefore they would likely expect people to come dressed as they would in the park. If there were a dress code I would think that they would have mentioned it to me when I made my reservation and they did not. I talked to both a CM at the Disney Dine line and the large group reservation coordinator at the restaurant directly.
There is no dress code - "theme park casual."

Oh good! I am glad it is casual dress but I think I still might have DH dress less like a tourist!
Also, what is this about a F! dining package? Is that knew as well and where can I locate my options?

OH! That has yet to be a priority to see. We have gotten FP's for it but seem to never end up back in DCA to see it.
If DLP did a dining package for F!, that would be so cool.

They do offer a F! package that includes chairs to sit in. A box of dessert and snack items, like cheese and crackers with cookies. And non alchoholic drinks. Of course it costs much more than the WoC meal packages.

But not as an option combined with dinner, is what I think she means.
The Fantasmic! package at DL is a standalone.
The World of Color dining option at Carthay Circle is different than the package at WCT. You don't need to make a special reservation or.order from a limited menu. You'll receive tickets if every member of your dining party - including kids - orders two courses, either app and entree, or entree and dessert.
Given that most of the appetizers are described and priced as being for two or more people, I'm not sure how they're.going to handle that.
