I would just like to point out that I knew perfectly well who Woody Woodpecker is. How else would I have answered the question?

I don't think it is such commone knowledge, though, who DIRECTED the Woody Woodpecker cartoons. As I said, I am not a big fan of animation, but I do know the basics.

Lisap-- All you need to know is the term for pickles: "conserves au vinaigre" is what my dictionary says. Though that does seem rather forced a term--perhaps there's a better word.

Just an aside, before I go find the next quizer...
Elize Crisler Segar was a newspaper cartoonist born in 1894-1938.
His 'Thimble Theater' strip ran for ten years before a 'walk-on' character named Popeye' stole the show.
If you have only been exposed to the repetitive toons of the 50's and 60's and the tv show junk...you missed the real Popeye. The early Fleishers (b&w) were fun and some of the early color toons as well...but the REAL Popeye lives in the comic strips of old and a diligent google search will find some.
As with most of Segar's characters, including Olive Oyle...Popeye was based on real person!
Happy googleing!

Look under Segar,Ham Gravy,Thimble Theater, Wimpy,King Features etc. etc.

Thanks for Playing.

And now.....

OK..here we go...Sunday morning 8/26

This one, purists may know.
You are seeing him minus a few pounds.

He is known for the depth and sensitivity of his performances under great handicap (No...HE is not physically handicapped but the term applies in another way).

This could be hard or it could be the easiest of them all depending on which direction you look.

Bingo!

I know him best as G'Kar from Bab 5...

Under heavy make-up he still poured out the emotion and heart into an amazingingly real character...best secenes played against Peter Jurassic.

I know it COULD be easy for someone paying attention to other than the 'main stars'. :D
Shoot...I had some great clues too!

OK...HERE'S another easy one...
Name Da Toon...
