I'm trying to stay up to date on the latest merchandise sold on the cruises. I thought maybe a website might say but I can't find any that do so far. Any of you guys know of one?

This one is my favorite DCL site. Not sure if they a lot of info on merchandise -- you might want to check with AVP about that -- but it might offer some links that do.

Since the Disney Cruise Line merchandise is supposed to be ship-exclusive, and most of it isn't sold anywhere but on the ships, there isn't a lot of info out there about it.

You'd actually need to be a paid passenger on the ship to get to the stores - there isn't a gift shop at Port Canaveral, (which makes NO sense to me), so it's kinda tough to send someone out there once a month to see what's new. :D

I can tell you what we saw on our cruise - was there something you were looking for?

Thanks! I'm checking it out right now.

Thanks! Yeah I found out quick about how you should buy stuff on the ship right away because they all sell out! So I want to ask about some things in case I missed anything. Here's what I'm hoping to find at Mickey's Mates or Castaway Cay:

- Either a captain's hat or sailor hat with either Goofy ears or the DCL logo. I know they have captain hats with mouse ears but don't know about anything else

- Plush Goofy in a ship uniform or sailor getup. Not a beany baby but an actual plush if I can. The bigger the better

- Tshirts that might have Goofy or the gang on them in ship or sailor uniform

And I think I recall a plush Goofy at Castaway Cay that's dressed in swimgear or something like that.

One of the best things about going on the Disney Cruise...was knowing that some of the merchandise was cruise exclusive.

I liked knowing that when I dropped $65-$75 dollars on a sweatshirt...not every Tom, Dick and Harry in town was going to be wearing the same darned thing.:D

And...to this day, I have only seen one other person wearing my DL Cruise Line sweat shirt. I know there are others out there...I just haven't seen 'em.

But...on another hand...I do have to say, that some of things that I was told was "Ship Exclusive"...I saw at the Orlando Airport in a store there. It was a Disney owned shop...selling actual WDW merchandise...and they did have several ship items.

After typing this...I wonder...hmmmm...should I be telling people this??? Now others will buy that silly sweatshirt....(which is actually old now...as I am sure they have newer stuff...)

Hmmm... well just for you I promise I won't buy it! ;)

I forgot to list something up there. I'm also trying to find out if they've made an official DCL album yet. I didn't see anything before but maybe they have by now?

Thanks...I do apprecaite that!!! :D ;)

It was bought in 1999...the Inaugeral year of the cruises...so I am sure they have updated the sweatshirts. You'll probably find my style at the local thrift stores... ;)

LOL! :D

But seriously I wonder if a 1999 style could actually count as a collector's item or something now.
